Welcome to Development Association of Shire in North America!
Development Association of Shire - North America (DASNA) is organized and shall be operated exculsively for charitable purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Code of 1986, as now in effect or as it may hereafter be amended, or under any successor section thereto (the "Code"), and regulations promulgated thereunder. Development of Shire of North America headquarter shall be located in Boston Massachusett. The physical address of our office is

The purposes of the corporation include, but are not limited to, the following
- To help poor and distressed or underprivileged persons and their families in Ethiopia, including but not limited to the town of Shire, Ethiopia, to overcome the challenges of poverty, inadequate education and insufficient health care;
- To provide financial assistance in the form of items such as clothing, shoes, books, computers, medicines and health care supplies to such persons in Ethiopia
- To advance the education and health of and improve the social welfare of the disadvantaged residents of Ethiopia, including but not limited to the residents of Shire, Ethiopia, with targeted assistance intended to benefit the entire community over time, by directing needed materials and supplies to institutions and community members;
- To raise funds necessary to sustain the foregoing activities and to expand such funds exclusively for the corporation's charitable purposes; and
- To engage in any lawful act or activity inn furtherance of the foregoing and in furtherance of the charitable purpose of the corporation
- Development Association of Shire in North America has concluded it new elected Board of Directors held in Washington D.C. on August 30, 2008. The newly elected Board of Directors comprised a mixture of old and new members to the board. The new Board of Directors are as followed:
